Making Chaos Beautiful

Before the Covid phase I had encountered a chaos situation while stuck in traffic on one of the busiest streets in my city .My objective, a restaurant where my wife and my lunch awaited me, stood on the other side of the road. I could see the food, smell it and built up quite appetite. Stranded within the chaos the only barrier between me and my lunch was crossing the street. The road was full of motor scooters, bicycles, motorcycles, cars, trucks and buses.. I saw a family of 5 riding a scooter — sans helmets, of course. People passed, stopped, rotated and crisscrossed the middle lines with utter confusion. Traffic flowed both ways within the same lane, more traffic merged from the side streets. To me it had been a scene of absurd chaos with no order. The traffic lights compounded my problem. Under this onslaught the flashing green "walk" sign forced me to move away from the farther end of the street. I was able to search for something to eat (and an area to sit) on my side...
